This typical suburban Victorian mid-terrace house, in Rathgar, was extended to provide a contemporary kitchen and dining space overlooking the garden to the rear. The main house was restored to its original character. A small north facing courtyard was used as a lightwell and a separating device between the main house and the extension and planted with shade loving vegetation. A sedum blanket covers the flat roof which can be viewed from the upper floor rooms.
