Studio News

MVK architects are working on the refurbishment of the old kitchen wing of Townley Hall near Tullyallen in Co. Louth.

MVK architects are working on the restoration and refurbishment of the former kitchen wing of Townley Hall near Tullyallen in Co. Louth. Townley Hall was built between 1794-1798 and designed by Irish architect, Francis Johnston. It was his first major commission and is now listed as a building of National Importance. The kitchen wing fell into disrepair in the 1960’s. A project to refurbish the wing and convert the space inside to a large room for events has been revisited. The project is part funded by a grant from Louth Leader Partnership under the Rural Development Scheme.
